Spring Greetings from Carol Russo, WAOGC President After the wet summer season who would have predicted the awesome winter we experienced!  The Board of the Women's Association has been busy planning the 2012 season.  We extend this invitation to each active and associate female member of the Oberlin Golf Club to join our Tuesday golf group.  Membership dues are $50 per person for the entire season. The 2012 season begins on Tuesday, April 24 with the traditional opening dinner.  This dinner is held at the Club in the Campbell Room.  Social time is at 5:30 with dinner to follow at 6:00 p.m.  All members are welcome to attend and bring a guest.  Cost of the dinner is $20 per person.    Tuesday play commences on Tuesday, May 1 and will continue throughout the season which ends in September.  Different events are scheduled for each Tuesday.  Championships will be held in August.  We ask our members to sign up for play each week, but playing every Tuesday is not mandatory.  Our membership is quite diverse and includes both working women and retirees.  Sign up for as many events as you want. We have two "Guest Days" planned for 2012.  Our annual, traditional "Guest Day" is Tuesday, June 26 and a "mini Guest Day" is on tap for September 11.  Mark your calendar now for those two fun events. The Greater Cleveland Golf Association (GCGA) provides a wonderful opportunity to play many area clubs and meet other women golfers.  GCGA plays on Thursdays at northeast Ohio member clubs.  Oberlin is hosting a GCGA event on Thursday, June 28.  All members of the Women's Association of Oberlin Golf Club are eligible for GCGA membership.  GCGA dues are $25 per year.  Since 1950 our Women's Association has been meeting on Tuesdays for fun, fellowship, food, and golf!  This active group is an amazing, talented, diverse collection of women who share a passion for golf.  Our Association will sponsor three mixed events this summer.  Everyone is welcome to play. Won't you join us in 2012?  All active and associate female golfers--regardless of handicap--are eligible and welcome.   See the following registration forms.
